DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The Amherst Family Center is a community drop-in center for families and their children ages birth through five. It is a family support program where families can gather to relax, meet others, attend classes and find support for the challenging role of raising kids. Support services offered for parents and families. Parent education workshops, Family Fun Programs, Support Groups, Individual and Group Consultation, I&R services, Ride Share Program, and Special Community Events.
As a drop-in center, we require parents to remain at all times. A Family Room, Indoor Playground, and Quiet Areas are available. There are also three professionally staffed childcare rooms with Early Childhood and Parent Educators: Infant Room, Toddler Room, and Preschool Room. This agency is part of Hampshire Community Action Commission.
