The CENTER FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT (CHD) has a mission to promote, enhance, and protect the dignity and welfare of people in need by providing a broad range of community-oriented human services.

CHD's programs include clinical and outreach therapeutic services, crisis assessment and stabilization, emergency and long term foster care, shelter and supportive services to the homeless, and community-based residential, supported housing, day treatment and vocational programs. All these services work to support vulnerable people as members of their communities, and to avoid institutional or restrictive environments whenever possible.

The Center for Human Development is dedicated to advocacy, empowerment, and the independence and integration into the community of the people we serve.
