DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:

Services provided for:

-homeless youth in Hampshire County - teen parents in Holyoke and Hampshire County -women in Hampshire County woh have suffered domestic violence We provide assistance with:

-Individual Housing Counseling- Information with local communities and their resources. We will work with you to figure out which community best suits your needs.

-Accessing Housing Applications- There are opportunities when searching for housing other than the newspaper. We'll help you search for a safe, affordable home.

-Talking With Landlords-We can assist you in talking with potential landlords to help secure the apartment you want.

-Budget Counseling- Meet with an experienced budget planner to help figure out to make ends meet.

-Tenant Rights and Responsibilities-We can help provide answers to questions related to tenant/landlord relationships.

-Mediation Services- To aviod legal action and costly court fees, we can mediate disputes with your landlord over rent, repairs, or evictions. We also mediate disagreements with neighboors over use of common areas, loud noise, etc.

-Referrals to Supportive Services-In addition to housing, we can help you find needed services in the community such as day care, parent groups, counseling, education, etc.
