One of five sites of The Literacy Project in Western Massachusetts, is a non-profit, community based adult education program situated in Northampton.

At The Pioneer Valley Adult Education Center, we not only offer free classes in basic reading, writing, math, and GED preparation but also have computers available for those who wish to begin or improve their technological skills.

Currently, our students range in age from sixteen to sixty years old. On the average students attend classes for six hours per week. The length of the students’ participation depends on the goals that they are working toward and their skills in obtaining their goals.
