Dying To Smoke

Cigarettes, they’re really killing us aren’t they?

So are companies who make them.

They’re murderers and they are getting away with it

By being greedy people who don’t care how they make money.

Even if it means many people will die who buy their product.

The idea of cigarettes came from people who have no respect for life.

They knew their product would ruin health,

And slowly yet surely cause death.

So they knew they had to come up with a way to convince people

That cigarettes are good, to get people to buy their product.

By advertising their product on billboards and television

Making people believe that smoking makes you look sexy.

That it makes you feel cool and look cool.

Simply by smoking a cigarette your worries will just fade away, they say.

I remember some of those cigarette commercials they used to have

Like how “Winston tastes good like a cigarette should”.

Another one was “I walked a mile for a Camel,”

But the truth is Winston don’t taste good as no cigarette would.

And the guy who played in that commercial “I walked a mile for a Camel,”

He died from smoking Camels.

Smoking it doesn’t make you sexy, it actually causes wrinkles,

and makes you look older and stressed out.

There’s no such thing as a cigarettes that will fade away your worries,

Because people will always have something to worry about; that’s life.

Two things for sure, cigarettes cost a fortune and they kill you.

The cigarette companies are not only killing you who smoke,

They’re making a killing off you in profits.

Even good old Uncle Sam is making a fortune off it,

Because of all the taxes smokers pay on cigarettes.

It just comes to show how much money means, than life.

When it comes to greedy cigarette companies and politicians.

So, do your self and your lungs a favor, quit smoking,

By shutting the smoke factory down before it shuts you down.
