LOVE

Love is true, love is kind.
Love is a feeling deep down inside.
Love is what I feel for you,
And hope you feel the same for me too.
Love can be triumphant, or it can be tragic. Love can be kind or cruel. Love can be wondrous and magical, or it can be painful and tortuous. There are two sides to everything, as you will learn in life.
I personally have experienced both sides of love in many forms. I believe the most fulfilling and satisfying love is when you give birth. To me, nothing brings more satisfaction or pride than when your child succeeds at what they are attempting. It also pains deeply when they disobey or have destructive behavior.
There
are many ways to love or to be loved. There is also pain and happiness in both.
I was married at the age of 16. In that relationship I was young and naive, and
therefore made many bad judgments. Such
as the man I married, dropping out of school, and allowing myself to be
physically, sexually, mentally, and emotionally abused for so many years.
Now
and for the last five years I am with the most wonderful man alive. He saved me
from my own path of destruction, and also helped to heal my oldest daughter
from her biological father’s abuse.
There
is no way I could ever repay this man, or possibly thank him enough for what he
has done. Now we have three beautiful and intelligent daughters who are our
absolute pride and joy.
They
are the reason I have decided to go back to school to acquire my GED, and then
go on to further my education so that I can be successful one day and my
daughters can be proud of me.
These
are just a couple of examples of love’s triumphs and tragedies. I hope I can
help someone with my experiences of love and loss, and maybe in turn they could
help someone else.
