THE DIRECTION
OF YOUR BLOOD FLOW
Blood brings to each cell, the oxygen that the body
cells must have to stay alive. Blood flow follows one route. It never takes a
new path nor does it make a "U-Turn".
Blood starts its journey inside the heart which
squeezes the blood out and sends it into the lungs. The blood picks up oxygen
from the lungs and turns bright red. The blood circulates back to the heart
which now pumps it out again to all parts of the body. The blood delivers
oxygen - "food" that the body cells must have. As the blood gives out
its oxygen, the blood then turns dark reddish blue. It (the blood) then returns
to the heart to start its journey all over again.
