Kidstop School Age Program is located at the SMK Elementary school in Ware. Children who are in kindergarten through 4th grade are eligible to attend. Children may come as early as 7:00 am and will be given breakfast before school begins at 9:00. At the end of the school day children may re-enter the program and stay until 5:30 pm. The school age program is open year round and operates during all school vacations, half days and snow days. Children may participate in the morning program only, in the afternoon program only or both before and after school.
Children attending the school age program have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities, including homework help, computer skills, games and puzzles, physical activities, arts and crafts and many more. Children also have the opportunity to just unwind after the rigors of the school day. Board games develop math skills.
Being read to is great at any age.
During the summer, the children attend a full day program which includes many field trips and daily excursions to the Ware swimming pool.
