Position Title: Fiscal and Office Coordinator
Supervisor: Executive Director
Hours: 35 hours per week, generally Monday-Friday, hourly rate, range $18-$23/hour, commensurate with experience; fully benefited position
The Fiscal & Office Coordinator is responsible for the general administrative functions and fiscal management of The Literacy Project (TLP) including: billing funding sources; overseeing payroll, processing accounts payable and receivable; monitoring and managing cash flow; maintaining human resource files and activities; and managing office materials and supplies.
Associates degree or equivalent relevant experience; five years experience in bookkeeping, experience managing multiple funding sources and fund accounting, budgeting, billing, and payroll in a non-profit organization; excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent organizational and computer skills, specifically with accounting software and Excel; ability to work as a team in a diverse environment.
Experience with contract and grant management and employee benefits and insurance; self-motivated; excellent interpersonal skills; excellent attention to detail while keeping the big picture in view; knowledge of SAGE MIP accounting software, commitment to mission of TLP.
