- Learning to manage your time and meet deadlines
- Practicing essay writing, reading college-level texts, and using study strategies
- Navigating online learning platforms and software
- Understanding financial aid, tuition, and student responsibilities
We know that college isn’t just a dream – it’s a plan. We’re here to help you take that next step with confidence.

Behind the scenes:
Lifting the barriers to higher education
For donors and partners.
Your support helps bridge that gap.
College readiness isn’t just about academics – it’s about equity, access, and empowerment. Many adults have the drive and ability to succeed in college, but they’ve never had the guidance or tools to get started.
You can help someone take their first step into higher education.
At The Literacy Project, our college readiness work focuses on building confidence, navigating systems, and preparing adults to succeed in college-level classes. This is often the first time our students have seen college as a real option.
Your organization can help open the door to college for more adults.
We work with local colleges, training programs, and advisors to help students move smoothly from our programs into credit-bearing courses, certificate programs, and job training.
Help us share these stories.
With the right support, college becomes possible – and powerful. We see it every day.
