Behind the scenes:

Supporting Adult Communication Skills

Your support helps more adults speak up and be understood.

At The Literacy Project, we believe that speaking and listening are powerful tools for connection, confidence, and change. For many adult learners, building communication skills isn’t just about using the right words — it’s about being heard, sharing ideas, and navigating everyday situations with ease.

You can help someone find their voice.

Our classes are small, welcoming, and focused on real communication needs. Students might be practicing introductions, asking questions, making phone calls, or joining group discussions — all with the goal of speaking clearly and listening with confidence.

Your organization can help remove barriers to learning.

With encouragement from volunteer tutors and the support of our community, students build the confidence to use their voice — at home, at work, and in the world. When one person speaks up, it often empowers others to do the same.

Help us celebrate these everyday victories.

Together, we can help more adults strengthen their communication skills — and create a community where everyone has a voice.
