Our free college and career readiness classes in Massachusetts help adults and young adults prepare for the next step, whether that’s college, job training, or starting a new career. These classes are designed to meet the college and career readiness standards for adult education and focus on building real-world skills for success in school, work, and everyday life.

What is College and Career Readiness?

College and career readiness means having the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed in higher education, job training, or the workforce. Our classes support students at all levels in building those key skills.

Whether you are planning to enter community college, join a job program, or improve your employment options, we are here to help.

In our college and career readiness program, you will build skills in:

  • Reading for College and Work – understanding complex texts, analyzing information, and summarizing ideas
  • Academic and Workplace Writing – writing clearly, editing your work, and communicating effectively
  • Math for Real Life – working with data, measurements, budgeting, and practical problem-solving
  • Digital Skills – using email, creating documents, exploring online learning, and building comfort with technology
  • Career Planning – researching job paths, writing resumes, and getting ready for interviews
  • Study and Life Skills – organizing time, taking notes, and building confidence

Our college and career readiness center offers supportive instruction, small classes, and personalized attention. We follow proven college and career readiness standards to make sure every student is prepared to meet their goals.
