Behind the scenes:
Starting Strong with Basic Skills
At The Literacy Project, we help adults strengthen the basic skills that power everyday life from applying for jobs, supporting their children’s education, or preparing for training and certification tests. Each new skill builds independence, confidence, and long-term success.
Your personal financial support helps more adults take that first step.
At The Literacy Project, we know that even the smallest steps in reading, writing, or math can lead to big changes. For many adults, basic literacy and math skills are the first tools they need to take control of their daily lives, support their families, and feel more confident in the world around them.
You can help someone begin their learning journey.
Our classes are small, welcoming, and built around real life. Students might be preparing for a new job, helping a child with homework, or gaining momentum after years away from school. Our small classes provide a supportive space to grow at your own pace.
Your organization can help remove barriers to learning.
With support from caring volunteer tutors, students build trust in themselves and grow their skills one step at a time. Do you think you can help by offering up a little time to be part of someone’s return to learning?
Help us celebrate these everyday victories.
Together, we can make sure everyone has a chance to build the basics – and a brighter future. Supporting us with your social media views, likes and shares is an easy way to really help.
